In a section exclusively dedicated to the production company, the O SOM E A FÚRIA program, the following films will be screened: CANTICLE OF ALL CREATURES, by Miguel Gomes, IN BETWEEN, by Sandro Aguilar, and BIRD OF PREY, by João Nicolau.
In a special program VILA DO CONDE SHORTS will also be screened SONG OF LOVE AND HEALTH, by João Nicolau, and RUINS, by Manuel Mozos.
The 11º Belo Horizonte International Short Film Festival 2009 will be a especial edition: exceptionally there were no submittal of films for the Brazilian and International Competitive Exhibitions, the program being devised by a group of curators, overseen by the Fundação Clóvis Salgado (Clóvis Salgado Foundation) and Secretaria de Estado de Cultura (the State Secretary Of Culture).
O Som e a Fúria has produced since its foundation 23 short-films (beside documentaries and fiction features) that have gathered numerous awards and special mentions in film festivals.
