Renata Sancho was born in Lisbon, April 1973. She finished a degree in Media Studies, specialised on Cinema Studies, at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
She participaped in the creation and development of the Laboratório de Criação Cinematográfica part of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
She has been working in continuity and editing with the directors: João Mário Grilo, Manoel de Oliveira and João César Monteiro.

Synopsis
Open Market is a document of the everyday life in Bolhão’s market, in Oporto. The video presents the commercial activities that take place inside the market: the fish, meat and the live animals trade; the fruit and vegetables commerce; the flower’s market; the conversations between merchants and costumers. Shooting took place in May and June of 2002.
