Albert Seixas Santos was born in 1936, in Lisbon.
He studied history and philosophy at the university of Lisbon.
Lived in Paris in 1962 and went the following year to London where he studied at the London School of Film Technique.
He worked has a film critic between 1958 and 1970 for several portuguese newspapers and magazines.
In 1977, he was appointed President of the Portuguese Institute for Cinema.
Between 1980 and 2002, he taught at the Superior School of Theatre and Cinema (ESTC).
He is appointed director of programs in the portuguese public TV network (RTP) in 1985.

Synopsis
Sixteen year old Cecília has a prosthetic hand. Mariana, her four year old cousin comes to live in her parents’ house. The mother’s affections concentrate on Mariana. With jealousy, Cecília dreams of a tragic love, which doesn’t bring back her mother’s love.
